Vineyard Park is seeking a dedicated and friendly individual to join our dining services team as an entry-level server. In this role, you will provide high-quality dining service to residents, ensuring a pleasant mealtime experience while adhering to their dietary needs and restrictions. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents while developing hospitality skills.Key Responsibilities:
- Take orders and serve meals in a timely and courteous manner, maintaining a positive and respectful demeanor with residents and guests.
- Maintain awareness of residents' dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring compliance with dietary guidelines.
- Accurately record resident meals for tracking purposes and communicate any discrepancies to the kitchen staff or management.
- Collaborate with dietary staff to address special requests or concerns regarding meals and nutrition.
- Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals, ensuring the space is tidy, organized, and welcoming.
- Assist residents who may need additional support during meals, such as carrying trays or understanding menu options.
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about resident care plans and updated dietary requirements.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, especially regarding dietary restrictions and food handling procedures.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic.
- No prior serving experience is required, but experience in customer service or food service is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
