Job Requirements For us to succeed together you must: Have at least 1 year of serving experience at a Japanese Restaurant Be able to multi-task under stress and during peak hours Be able to lift up to 50lbs (You can expect to lift stacked bento boxes, push beer kegs, and store wine/liquor cases) Possession of, or ability to acquire a King County Food Workers Permit + MAST Alcohol Permit Be legally permitted to work in the United States (we are not offering sponsorships at this time) Although not required, we would love if you also had: Flexible availability, including occasional weekends Cocktail experience Japanese Fluency About the Job Your schedule will: Have a variety of lunch and dinner shifts across weekdays Not require nor guarantee weekend shifts, although hiring preference will be given to candidates who are willing to cover them as needed Have you start as early as 10:45am for lunch, and as early as 4pm for dinner (Please do not apply if you have scheduling conflicts with these clock-in times) Start with, on average, 10 shifts of paid training as Food Runner/Expo, Host, and Server to ensure knowledge of our expansive menu, and affirm your quality of service, prior to fully tipped solo shifts What we offer: Hourly compensation of $21.65/hr + tips, averaging $30 - $45/hr depending on the shift worked. Tips are pooled to support and reinforce our collaborative, team-driven work environment, where each role is vital and deserves to be compensated equitably.
