Our Tasting Room Associates create welcoming and engaging experiences while guiding guests through our wines and sharing the story of Gård. We're looking for someone who works well as part of a team, enjoys continuing to learn, and brings a positive and dependable approach to each shift. Wine knowledge and hospitality experience are valued, but just as important is a genuine desire to create meaningful guest experiences and represent Gård with warmth and professionalism. Responsibilities Conduct engaging and informative wine tastings while demonstrating a strong understanding of Gård wines, vineyards, and winemaking. Provide thoughtful wine recommendations based on guest preferences and confidently discuss food and wine pairings. Support wine sales and wine club growth through knowledgeable, personalized recommendations. Provide attentive wine, beer, and food service while maintaining established service standards. Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure accurate and timely food service. Maintain a strong working knowledge of current releases, vintages, tasting notes, menu offerings, events, and wine club benefits. Accurately process orders, payments, discounts, and wine club transactions through the POS system. Maintain tasting room presentation and organization throughout service, including restocking and assigned side work. Complete opening and closing responsibilities thoroughly and efficiently. Communicate effectively with the tasting room and kitchen teams to support an organized and efficient flow of service. Qualifications Be at least 21 years of age and maintain a current MAST and Food Handler's Permit. Bring a foundational knowledge of wine, with more advanced knowledge preferred. Bring at least two years of customer service experience. Bring experience with food preparation and presentation, with an eye for quality, consistency, and thoughtful guest service. Show enthusiasm for learning new skills through onsite training and mentoring. Use point-of-sale systems and basic computer tools with confidence and accuracy. Take pride in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the tasting room, helping ensure the space consistently feels inviting. Stay flexible to support a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends. Comfortably lift and carry up to 40 pounds as part of the role. Remain on your feet and move throughout the space for extended periods.
