Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavor consistency in line with established recipes and standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, poachers, braising units, and food production tools Assist with menu planning by suggesting seasonal or innovative dishes that meet dietary and customer preferences Maintain strict food safety standards by following sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and hygiene protocols Serve guests promptly and courteously, taking orders accurately and delivering exceptional customer service in both casual and fine dining settings Support dietary department needs by understanding dietary restrictions and assisting in meal preparation for special diets or catering events Collaborate with team members to ensure high-volume production runs smoothly while adhering to safety regulations Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within restaurant or catering environments Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation Knowledge of food safety management practices, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food production for high-volume settings Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness standards Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and serve guests professionally Background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
