Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems to optimize seating arrangements. Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correctly entered for smooth processing. Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating knowledge of drink service standards and beverage pairing. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales revenue through effective suggestive selling techniques. Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transaction processing and cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, offering personalized recommendations based on culinary experience, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong background in serving or host/hostess roles. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and transaction processing. Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards; previous cocktail experience is a plus. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and the ability to build rapport with diverse guests. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing check splitting when needed. Experience in fine dining settings or high-volume restaurants is preferred; food safety and sanitation certifications are a plus.
