Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items including wine, spirits, cocktails, or specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Process cash and card transactions accurately, including handling tips and processing sales transactions seamlessly. Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth service flow. Qualifications Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to engage with guests confidently. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Demonstrated ability in customer service, guest relations, and sales through upselling techniques. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service to elevate the guest experience.
