Job Description
Job Overview Seeking a friendly, outgoing and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our family-owned business. We currently have an open position for Thursday through Sunday from 2PM - 10PM with an additional shift available on Sunday from 6AM - 2PM (Monday through Wednesday off) with the ability to work overtime on a case-by-case basis (overtime currently federal tax free). This is a destination hotel that was once a 1927 mining town hospital with a rich history. The Front Desk role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for guests and visitors from all over the world ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, have experience in hospitality management, and be comfortable managing multiple tasks. The town of Jerome is a tourist destination with the Jerome Grand Hotel as a top draw. Guests and visitors often inquire about the hotel's history. A good source of information is readily available on the hotel's website at jeromegrandhotel.com. Responsibilities Greeting guests and visitors upon arrival with a sincere and welcoming demeanor. Manage front desk operations, including reservations, check-ins, check-outs, gift shop purchases, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly. Handle multi-line phone systems, ensuring proper phone demeaner and etiquette. Possess strong computer skills utilizing the Check-inn program to manage accurate records of guest information, transactions and reservations. Assist with night audits as needed to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions. Complete written check lists and procedures and communicate to maintenance, housekeeping and management on issues affecting guests and operations. Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization at the front desk area. Professional personal attire, presentation, hygiene and grooming. Qualifications Position requires prolonged standing, walking, climbing and descending stairs during a typical 8-hour shift. Ability to lift and move objects and/or package deliveries under 50 pounds. Experience as a front desk role within the hospitality industry is preferred. Experience in retail and customer service is also a plus. Will train a highly motivated individual that can learn quickly and displays strong customer service abilities. Positive demeaner, strong communication skills, patience, problem-solver, resourceful, dependable, manage conflict resolution and ability to maintain a calm demeaner under stressful situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and management of multiple lines while simultaneously managing in person guest interactions. Possess or ability to obtain an Arizona Food Handlers Certificate. A positive attitude and a passion for providing outstanding hospitality experiences. Your contributions will play a vital role in creating memorable stays for our guests!
