Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Technician, where your expertise keeps our property running smoothly and ensures an exceptional experience for our guests. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of hotel facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components. Your proactive approach will help us uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and operational excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to hospitality excellence. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation and maintain the outdoor swimming pool. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and mechanical equipment. Conduct welding and residential painting tasks to maintain the property's aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. Use tools such as ohmmeters and schematics to diagnose electrical problems accurately and efficiently. Manage facilities maintenance tasks by coordinating repairs with external vendors when necessary and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors during projects, demonstrating leadership and ensuring quality work. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, or residential settings. Proficiency in electrical work, including reading schematics and using testing tools like ohmmeters. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their application in building systems. Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting for property upkeep. Ability to interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and facility blueprints accurately. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with guests or team members. Supervising experience that demonstrates leadership capabilities in managing maintenance projects or teams. Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history. Fluency in English to communicate effectively across diverse teams and vendors.
