Hotel Night Auditor

Position Summary The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the front desk and hotel operations during overnight hours while providing excellent guest service and completing daily accounting and reporting functions. This position plays an important role in ensuring a positive guest experience, maintaining security and professionalism overnight, and accurately balancing and closing the hotel's daily financial transactions. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGuest Service Provide exceptional guest service during overnight hours Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns professionally Handle guest issues and service recovery situations calmly and efficiently Answer phones and assist with reservations as needed Front Desk Operations Process guest payments and maintain accurate records Prepare and distribute room keys Monitor hotel activity and maintain overnight security awareness Communicate important information to management and incoming shifts Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and lobby areas Night Audit & Accounting Functions Perform nightly audit procedures and close out the business day Balance room revenue, cash, credit cards, and other financial transactions Prepare daily reports for hotel management Verify accuracy of guest accounts and billing Reconcile discrepancies and resolve issues as needed Submit required financial and operational reports Operational Responsibilities Monitor occupancy and room status updates Assist with overnight property needs and emergencies Ensure hotel policies and procedures are followed Support team members and other departments when necessary Qualifications Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred Night audit or accounting experience a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Basic math and computer skills Ability to work independently overnight Professional appearance and demeanor Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations Schedule Requirements Overnight shifts required Weekends and holidays may be required Must be dependable and punctual Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Ability to work overnight hours consistently What We Offer Competitive pay Hotel discounts Growth and advancement opportunities Supportive team environment Opportunity to grow within a multi-property hospitality company Harrison Group Hotels & Restaurants At Harrison Group, hospitality is about creating memorable experiences for our guests and a positive workplace culture for our team members.
