Household Manager/Personal Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized Household Manager/Personal Assistant to oversee the smooth operation of a busy household while providing exceptional personal support. This role combines household management and administrative duties to ensure a harmonious living environment. About Our Family We are a warm, loving, grounded, and private family of five with three adult children. Our oldest son is 26 and has special needs and lives at home. Our twins are almost 22 and both have summer jobs (our daughter just graduated from college and moved back home & our son is wrapping up his junior year at college and will be home for the summer). Our home also includes a dog (13-pound Maltese/Shi-Tsu) who thinks anyone in the house is here to see him (ha). We are self-employed. One of us works primarily out of the home and the other works occasionally at home or from our office. We also help manage the care for our elderly parents. Needless to say - our schedules are very full so we are looking for a warm, reliable, thoughtful, and proactive House Manager who can work efficiently and independently behind the scenes to keep our home organized, our systems running smoothly, and help take pressure off our busy schedules. Wanting to be an extension of our family - not just someone hired to do a job Must be able to pass a background check Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must have reliable transportation (we will reimburse for mileage running errands) Duties may include the following Household Management & Organization Load/unload dishwashers, wipe surfaces, collect trash from home (e.g., rooms and bathrooms, laundry, etc.), take out trash and recycling Maintain and water indoor plants Refill appliances with water as needed (Keurig, water bottles) Coordinate and supervise household maintenance providers while maintaining property maintenance schedules Coordinate and supervise residential cleaning, & laundry providers Inventory & Errands Create and manage running household supply lists & track/restock as needed (pantry, toiletries, medications/supplements and other household supplies) Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.) Run errands as needed (grocery shopping, returns, post office, etc.) Meal Prep Support Meal prep/support as needed. Maintain kitchen organization and fridge cleanliness Laundry & Linen Care Prepare/coordinate laundry for service provider Prepare/coordinate dry cleaning for service provider Wash/Fold/Put away any laundry that isn't sent to the service provider Iron, steam, and prepare outfits as needed Rotate bedding and refresh linens weekly Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies Pet Care Stay in-home with pets when the family travels (as needed & as available) Maintain proper supplies (food/treats/etc.) Provide care for dogs as needed — feeding, letting out, occasional walks, taking to the groomers, etc. Vehicle & Property Oversight Coordinate occasional maintenance Deep Cleaning & Special Projects Maintain a clean garage floor Complete weekly hot tub maintenance Complete monthly maintenance on hot tub filter Complete weekly checks on furnace filters, softener salt, etc. and replace/fill as needed Complete monthly cleaning of air-to-air exchanger filter Complete quarterly cleaning of large air-to-air exchanger filter and replace as needed Tackle occasional deep-cleaning projects (fridge, oven, baseboards, etc.) Research and coordinate external services for large-scale cleaning projects (e.g., carpet cleaning, window cleaning, pressure washing, etc.) Cover (November) & uncover (May) outside furniture Administrative & Personal Help with household schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements as needed Assist with packing/unpacking for family travel Refill vitamins/supplements for family members weekly Experience Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or Household Manager in a private residence or hospitality setting Skilled in residential cleaning, housekeeping management, laundry services, and cooking Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational skills and time management Supervising experience with vendors preferred If you thrive in dynamic settings and love making everyday life seamless for others, we want to hear from you!
