May complete duties related to window washing, meeting set up, pool cleaning, snow removal, grounds keeping, and other related responsibilities. Also responsible for creating a fun, safe, and positive atmosphere that promotes camper safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Oversees other housekeeping staff to ensure cleaning assignments are made, schedules shifts based on camping and event schedules, and inspects the work of the team. This is a full-time position, 8 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Friday in the off-season, and Wednesday-Sunday in the summer season. Candidates must have transportation to and from the facility.

Essential Functions:

Ensures Camp is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintains upkeep of assigned area and equipment. May perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, vacuuming, public restroom cleaning, cabin changeovers, and general cleaning. Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment. Records and reports all needed repairs; repairs as directed. Ensures YMCA building and property is secure during shift and reporst incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor. Replaces soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other supplies. May set up furniture for events. Assists the Facilities Director with managing and implementing custodial and maintenance operations as directed. Schedules other housekeeping staff and oversees tasks, inspects work, ensures supplies and equipment are functioning and available, and oversees laundry. All other duties as assigned, and some duties may be reassigned based on staffing levels.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 18 years of age, required High School Diploma/GED, preferred Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents. Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties. Ability to erect and stand on ladders and platforms at heights up to 30 feet. Ability to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust. High-energy, enthusiastic, creative person with a great spirit of summer camp. Ability to accept guidance and supervision. Good character, integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
