As a Housekeeper for the MVH-Bemidji, you will perform housekeeping and maintenance activities to ensure a clean, comfortable, healthy, and safe environment for our residents, staff and others, in accordance with established standards, guidelines, and applicable state and federal laws, rules, and policies. This position is designated as part-time and day shift. The work schedule will include at least 64 hours per 2-week pay period and may include additional work hours, based on business needs. This position is initially eligible for full employer contribution towards health and dental insurance benefits. Different types of flooring/floor covering sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods, materials, agents and equipment Chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, bleaches, scouring agents and soaps sufficient to appropriately select the agent(s), handle and apply, and dispose of safely Methods, tools, and equipment used in maintenance sufficient to operate and use them effectively and make minor repairs Ability to: Use hand tools and handle fairly light materials manually Perform work functions using ladders and scaffolding Perform laundry functions Function in adverse weather conditions Perform assigned tasks with limited work direction Make minor mechanical repairs to maintenance equipment Operate simple maintenance equipment Follow instructions, read and understand operational manuals, and keep simple records Additional Requirements A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on the top finalist(s) for the position.
