Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and hallways using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Follow established protocols for infection control and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards to ensure workplace safety Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure readiness for daily operations Assist with waste disposal procedures in compliance with environmental services guidelines and hospital policies Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, safety inspections, and supply inventories Collaborate with healthcare staff to address specific sanitation needs in sensitive areas such as patient rooms or medical facilities Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning or healthcare environments is highly preferred Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and sanitation practices Experience with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet extraction is a plus Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures accurately Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and supervisors Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment throughout shifts Join us in creating a safe, clean environment where everyone feels comfortable!
