Duties Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of guest rooms, patient areas, or facility spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a pristine appearance. Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, and cleaning materials to ensure readiness for daily operations. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or sanitation issues and report them promptly. Adhere to environmental services standards by properly disposing of waste and using eco-friendly cleaning products when possible. Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled to uphold hygiene standards across the facility. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning environments is preferred. Experience working in healthcare settings or hospitals is highly advantageous due to specific sanitation requirements. Familiarity with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet extraction. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and chemical handling. Proven ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
