Competitive and open, based on experience and qualifications Position Overview We are seeking an exceptional, highly professional Camp Manager / Facility Operations Manager to oversee the full operation of a large-scale temporary housing camp located at a federal training facility. This is a high-visibility leadership role similar in scope to managing a large, high-end hotel, military base housing operation, or large-scale government support facility. The selected candidate will serve as the primary face of the camp to the government, our client, soldiers, staff, and other key stakeholders. This project is connected to a government-contracted client with an anticipated term of at least two years. As with all government-related projects, the assignment remains subject to government need, funding, and at-will requirements. Key Responsibilities The Camp Manager will be responsible for the smooth, professional, and efficient operation of the entire camp, including: Overseeing daily operations of a 24/7 temporary housing facility Serving as the primary point of contact and professional representative for government officials, the client, soldiers, staff, and vendors Preparing, reviewing, and presenting detailed reports to government and client representatives Managing staff performance, schedules, accountability, and operational expectations Ensuring all departments, equipment, supplies, housing areas, and support services operate efficiently Maintaining a high level of readiness, organization, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism throughout the camp Proactively identifying operational issues before they become problems Coordinating resources, staffing, logistics, and equipment needs Responding to urgent operational needs and being available on call when required Ensuring compliance with client, government, DHS, safety, and site-specific requirements Creating and maintaining a professional environment for all residents, government personnel, soldiers, staff, and visitors Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for a top-tier leader who is polished, organized, forward-thinking, and highly dependable. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex operations where presentation, accountability, communication, and professionalism are critical. Strong candidates may come from backgrounds such as: High-end hotel or resort management Military base operations or logistics Government contract operations Large-scale housing, hospitality, or facilities management Emergency response camps, workforce housing, or temporary housing operations Large team management in a highly regulated environment Qualifications Proven leadership experience in facility, hospitality, military, logistics, housing, or large-scale operations management Ability to manage staff, equipment, schedules, vendors, and operational systems Strong reporting, documentation, and presentation skills Professional appearance, communication style, and executive-level presence Ability to interact confidently with government representatives, clients, soldiers, and staff Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think ahead Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a 24/7 operational environment College degree preferred Must be able to pass a background check Must complete all DHS-required personal documentation packets Must be fingerprinted and approved for required site badge/access Must be available on call as needed Compensation Compensation is open and will be based on the qualifications, experience, and leadership ability of the selected candidate.
