Position Overview:
The Human Resources Manager will lead all day-to-day HR operations and serve as a key partner to leadership in building and maintaining a high-performing workforce. This role requires strong recruiting expertise, knowledge of HR compliance, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and plays a critical role in supporting company culture, employee engagement, and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition for all company locations Manage employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations Support workforce planning, hiring, layoffs, and union-related matters Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks Administer HRIS system (Insperity) and maintain accurate employee records Partner with CFO on benefits administration, renewals, and open enrollment Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Plan and coordinate company events and employee engagement initiatives Serve as a resource for managers and employees on HR-related matters
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience with HRIS systems (Insperity preferred)
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Experience as an HR Generalist, HR Manager, or similar role Strong recruiting and talent acquisition experience required Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform general office tasks Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds Ability to use standard office equipment and computers
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to manufacturing and outdoor conditions Moderate noise level
