This role reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and is a FLSA exempt salary position. The primary focus is to guide senior management in achieving departmental goals through employee management. Communication will span across all departments including sales, service, supply chain, production, and accounting. This role maintains a high level of confidentiality and business literacy about the company's financial position and its culture. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide guidance to management and employees on human resources issues, employment law, and develop new programs and initiatives to meet company needs. Anticipate and plan for long-term human resource needs and trends. Assist in the formulation of objectives for personnel policies and procedures, and manpower goals. Assure company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility. Effectively communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and procedures. Perform advanced employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of termination requests; conduct exit interviews. Conduct complex and sensitive employee related investigations. Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absences including transitional work and accommodations. Assist in open enrollment and other benefits related programs as needed. Conduct employee and supervisor training including benefits, policies and procedures and prevention of harassment and discrimination. Ensure timely and accurate entries to the HRIS/payroll database. Perform compliance functions as requested on items such as audit reports and employment verifications. Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements. Assist in the management and execution of bonus plans, merit processes, and year end KPI reporting. Assist in the annual budget planning process as needed. May recruit and staff from internal and external sources. Facilitate employee onboarding and new hire safety training. Comply with all Fluidyne Fluid Power employee conduct and policies contained in the Employee Handbook. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, or a related field (required). Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines: compensation, organizational diagnosis, policy creation, employee relations, diversity, performance, and employment laws. SHRM Certified Professional (preferred) Skill Requirements Advanced communication skills (verbal & written) and demonstrated active listening. Advanced Excel knowledge and demonstrated application of complex formulas & functions. Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Attention to detail and ability to focus on task assignments to meet organizational goals. Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit, type, and read. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to pass criminal background check, pre-placement health appraisal, and drug screening. Work environment regularly exposes employee to a light noise level (phone conversations).
