In this role, you will lead comprehensive human resources initiatives, foster positive employee relations, and ensure the seamless delivery of HR services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence company culture and contribute to a thriving, engaged workforce. Duties Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including benefits, leave, badging, training credentials and more. Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and external sources, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Daily administration of employee records with HRIS, training and other software programs. Understand and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Manage badges, shipyard and facility accesses, and background checks. Assist with Facility Security program and administration. Promote a positive work culture with a focus on company core values. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and modern technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Support recruiting efforts in job post, interviews, onboarding and career pathing. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Exhibit exemplary client service skills, to all people, regardless of level. Professional, concise, and effective written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Exhibit solid and objective judgment in decision making. Responds calmly in tense situations. Stive for accuracy in all tasks. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Dedicated to handling sensitive information with discretion. Willingness to work in a team environment, sharing information and supporting others in their development. Possesses the desire to continually grow and develop, Takes initiative to meet challenges head on. Ability to de-escalate employee issues through supportive guidance and conflict resolution. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and related systems. Education & Experience 5 Years of experience in Human Resources with 100+ employees. Formal human resources training and/or education program, required. PHR or SPHR, certification desired. Familiarity or proficiency with Sage CRE300, BambooHR or HCSS is a plus. Experience as an AFSO or FSO is a plus.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
