Human Resources Generalist Pennsylvania (Hybrid / On-Site) Property Management Company | ~100 Employees About Us We are a growing property management company supporting a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. With approximately 100 employees across multiple locations, we are focused on building a high-performing, service-driven culture that supports both our teams and the communities we manage. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to partner with leadership and support managers and employees across our organization. Position Overview The HR Generalist serves as a strategic partner to leadership and a trusted advisor to employees across multiple property locations. This role supports HR strategy, employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, and performance management while helping foster a positive workplace culture. This position reports to the General Manager and works closely with property managers, leasing staff, maintenance teams, and corporate support employees. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR Partnership Partner with leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals Support workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning Analyze HR metrics such as turnover, time-to-fill, engagement, and absenteeism Assist with change management initiatives across properties and departments Employee Relations & Performance Management Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate actions Coach managers on performance management, documentation, and conflict resolution Oversee performance review processes and goal-setting programs Promote a positive, compliant workplace culture Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs Lead recruitment efforts for property and corporate roles including: Leasing agents Maintenance technicians Property managers Administrative staff Support structured onboarding programs for new hires Develop strategies to improve retention and reduce turnover Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Maintain employee handbook and HR policies Manage unemployment claims, workers' compensation coordination, and leave administration (FMLA, ADA) Conduct internal HR compliance audits Compensation & Benefits Assist with compensation benchmarking and salary reviews Support annual merit and bonus planning Oversee benefits administration and employee benefit inquiries Coordinate open enrollment Training & Development Identify training needs across the organization Support leadership development for property managers Coordinate compliance training such as harassment prevention, safety, and fair housing Assist with career development and internal mobility initiatives HR Operations Maintain HRIS data and personnel records Prepare HR reports for leadership Improve HR processes and systems Coordinate employee engagement activities and events QualificationsEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 5+ years of progressive HR experience Experience in property management, real estate, multi-site operations, or service-based industries preferred Experience supporting a distributed or multi-location workforce strongly preferred Certifications (Preferred)
SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP PHR / SPHR
