Human Resources Manager Hillsboro, Oregon - Added Apr 29th, 2026 Human Resources Manager - Payroll & Benefits Focus Our client, a mission-driven organization in the Portland metro area, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and support HR operations with a strong emphasis on payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations. This is a highly impactful role that will partner closely with executive leadership to stabilize and strengthen core HR functions while supporting a growing and values-driven workforce. $36.00 - 40.86/hr.,
DOE What You'll Be Doing:
Lead day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, compliance, and performance management Oversee and process payroll (semi-monthly) for ~130 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Manage benefits administration, including open enrollment, new hire enrollment, and employee support Serve as a trusted partner to leadership on HR strategy, policy development, and workforce planning Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Support and enhance HRIS systems, reporting, and data integrity Lead initiatives related to training, performance management, and organizational development Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution Partner cross-functionally to support recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies Maintain accurate HR documentation and support audits, licensing, and compliance requirements
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of strong experience in progressive human resources is required, Hands-on experience with payroll processing (Paychex highly preferred; ADP acceptable) Experience managing benefits programs and open enrollment processes Solid understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work onsite in Hillsboro with occasional local travel (company vehicle provided) Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
