Job Description

Job Summary Lead and manage all facets of Human Resources services, policies, programs and staff that align with company goals and objectives. Responsible for administering the staffing and recruiting functions and follows the employee life cycle including employee training and development. Promotes organizational development and administers performance management programs. Responsible to administrate all wage and hour related record-keeping and requirements including compensation and benefit programs, worker tax credits, workman's compensation, payroll, 401K, health and related employee benefits. Core Values Essential Functions:
  • Manage and lead the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department.
  • Administers the recruiting, staffing, training, retention, evaluation and motivation programs of all personnel to ensure an effective, innovative and professionally competent work force is in place. Contributes to recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary for a superior organization including management and administrative level candidates.
  • Establishes best practices, works under pressure and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Recommends, develops, implements and communicates HR policies and objectives including policy changes and initiatives in all functional work areas to meet the current and changing company plans and goals.
  • Formulates, recommends and oversees HR policies and objectives to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale, motivation and engagement.
  • Collaborates on development of HR goals, objectives and systems, establishing departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of strategic goals.
  • Directs and monitors annual performance appraisal program to ensure timely review of employee performance, consistent with company policy.
  • Provides guidance to management and supervisory staff, as needed, with regard to general employment practices. Counsels' employees and managers on issues that arise with respect to policies, benefits, performance and other HR concerns. Keeps current with employment regulations that may directly impact company operations.
  • Partners with management to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs and laws.
  • Ensures company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits.
  • Creates training programs designed to address key initiatives and/or compliance requirements for managers and/or employees, including on boarding training.
  • Develop, budget and implement positive employee events.
  • Participates in meetings as required.
  • Investigates/reviews employee complaints/concerns.
  • Manages the development and maintenance of company handbook and policies.
  • Maintains strict standards and procedures for securing all HR & payroll information, records and files.
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the VP/GM, Controller and the Executive Team, always ensuring that HR practices support the strategic goals of the Company.
  • Administrates Skibowl's employee volunteer program. Requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of all HR functional areas including, onboarding, training and development, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or similar discipline.
  • 8+ plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions, preferably in the hospitality industry. Other Skills/Abilities
  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, payroll, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
  • Experience as the primary HR point-of-contact
  • Comfortable working as an individual contributor and manager in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-energy environment.
  • Exceptional work ethic and roll up your sleeves', hands-on approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources department members.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the department head team that provides company leadership and direction.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and skills in computer systems data management, reporting and record keeping.
  • Strong knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
  • Practice a high level of confidentiality.
Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
Pay:
$57,822.87 - $82,233.97 per year
