Job expectations include supporting / managing core programs such as benefits administration, compensation studies, HRIS data reviews, onboarding and offboarding programs, employee relations, talent development, performance management and other organizational initiatives. Organization Role Working actively with the Director - HR and the Director - Culture and People, this role operates as an individual contributor supporting day-to-day HR programs while exercising ownership over assigned HR programs and processes. This role will regularly collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and will demonstrate a commitment to operational excellence. Essential Responsibilities Support the execution of the HR cyclical processes including benefit program administration (open enrollment), compliance training, annual performance reviews, merit increases, and goal setting. Lead the execution and continuous improvement of various employee lifecycle programs, such as onboarding, offboarding, internship and temporary workforce programs. Ensure a seamless and compliant experience, continually evaluate program effectiveness and implement process flow improvements. Oversee day-to-day HR operations and service delivery, including employee inquiries and HR systems management; ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality support while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service levels. Support employee communications and engagement initiatives, including maintaining HR intranet content and contributing to employee communications such as newsletters and internal updates. Assist ASTM staff with inquiries on HR policies and procedures, providing guidance on standard processes. Assists in the development, implementation, and interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices Support HR reporting, audits, and compliance activities. Support key HR initiatives related to employee relations, talent development, performance management, learning and leadership development, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. Manage relationships with external HR vendors and third-party administrators, including issue resolution, and service delivery; partner with vendors to improve processes, enhance employee experience, and ensure alignment with organizational needs. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Other responsibilities as assigned. Education and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 53+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources. HR Certification preferred. Demonstrated experience of owning or administering HR programs such as benefits, onboarding/offboarding, or other core HR processes. Experience using HRIS platforms (preferably ADP Workforce Now) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook) Strong project management skills with the ability to define and keep deliverables on track. Exceptional time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting employee-facing communications Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices Self-motivated, organized, accurate, confident, authentic, results-orientated, open-minded and enthusiastic This job description is not intended to provide an all-inclusive listing of related job activities.
