Job Description

Human Resources Specialist Job Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing a wide range of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human capital management and HRIS systems, with excellent communication skills and strategic planning abilities. This position offers an opportunity to influence organizational development and foster a positive workplace culture through effective HR practices. Responsibilities Oversee talent acquisition processes, including sourcing candidates through ATS platforms, job fairs, college and community events. Manage employee onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training & development programs. Administer employee benefits programs and handle benefits-related inquiries using various systems. Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA standards, and workers' compensation regulations. Conduct employee evaluations, performance management activities, and succession planning initiatives. Support change management projects and assist in organizational design efforts to optimize workforce effectiveness. Handle employee relations issues with conflict management skills while maintaining confidentiality. Maintain accurate HR data entry and data collection for reporting purposes using HRIS systems. Manage HR sourcing efforts to attract top talent via social media management and other channels. Support payroll processing activities and ensure accurate contract administration. Experience Proven experience in human resources management or related fields with familiarity in HRIS platforms. Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and workers' compensation procedures. Demonstrated ability in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and training & development. Experience with project management tools and techniques to lead HR initiatives effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Prior administrative experience supporting HR functions such as data entry, contracts management, or payroll processing is preferred. This position is integral to fostering a compliant, engaging, and productive workplace environment through strategic HR practices and effective employee engagement initiatives.

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
