DIRECTOR OF PEOPLE AND CULTURE
Luxury Resort • Caribbean • USD $84,000 per annum
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are searching for a Director of People and Culture for a luxury resort in the Caribbean. This is a senior people leadership role for an HR professional who serves as a true business partner to the General Manager and leadership team, translating commercial strategy into meaningful people initiatives that attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop and execute a People and Culture strategy that supports the property's mission, values, and business goals Oversee the full colleague lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, success on planning, and retention Drive colleague engagement, wellbeing, and a values-led, high-performance culture across the property Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, and grievances with fairness and consistency Oversee compensation structures, benefits administration, and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness Ensure full compliance with local labour laws, data protection requirements, and HR policies Support leadership development and implement learning programs that build capability and drive growth Lead the People and Culture team and manage HR systems, reporting, and departmental budgets
WHAT YOU BRING 3
to 5 years of experience in a comparable HR leadership role, ideally within luxury hospitality Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at the most senior levels Solid knowledge of local labour legislation, payroll processes, and HR systems Excellent communication and presentation skills in English Sharp analytical ability with experience managing complex HR data and reporting Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field preferred
