Job Description
Test Technician
- 2nd Shift

division is currently seeking a Test Technician- 2nd Shift
- CPO to join our team at our Capital Blvd site in Raleigh, NC. The pay rate for this position is $25.00 + shift differential per hour. The core hours are 2:30 pm
- 11:00 pm.
- You will exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position. You will ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton's quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process and perform quality checks as instructed.
- You will read electronic schematics to ensure products meet defined specifications
- You will report any Non-conformance items by utilizing our Quality Management Guidelines
- You will recommend modifications and improvements to enhance the products for quality, reliability, manufacturability and cost effectiveness
- You will communicate with Production Associates, Quality Engineering Technician, Manufacturing Engineers and Test Engineers to resolve daily production and warranty issues
- You will check maintain equipment to ensure compliance with
ISO 9000
2000 standards- You will identify and implement corrective actions for the repair, replacement and calibration of laboratory tools and manufacturing equipment
- You will use the principles of 5S+ to ensure a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
Required (Basic)Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in electronics from an accredited school required
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in electronics

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with DC battery currents
- Proficient with
Microsoft Office Applications Position Criteria:
- Knowledge of switchboard and switchgear operations; electrical and electronic devices
- Knowledge of the following Manufacturing systems: (KANBAN, JIT, Production scheduling)
- Basic knowledge of Electronic Test Measurement Devices
- Basic computer knowledge of Windows based operating systems and programs
- Demonstrated ability to take and give direction
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to use good judgment and problem solving skills to make informed decisions
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
- Ability to read and understand formal, informal drawings, and/or electronic schematics
- Ability to completely test and troubleshoot electronic products
- Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish colored wiring
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
