On-Site with Travel Between Facilities About Riceland Healthcare Systems Riceland Healthcare Systems is a growing hospital-based healthcare organization serving Southeast Texas through inpatient and outpatient services including surgery, imaging, laboratory, primary care, specialty care, home health, hospice, and expanding specialty programs. We are seeking an experienced Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead and strengthen our HR operations during a significant phase of organizational growth. Position Summary Reporting directly to the CEO, the CHRO will oversee all Human Resources functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, HR compliance, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, onboarding, performance management, and HR operations across multiple facilities. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic direction and operational execution in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives. Oversee employee relations, disciplinary matters, and HR compliance. Ensure compliance with federal and Texas employment laws. Manage HR policies, personnel records, credential tracking, and regulatory readiness. Partner with leadership on staffing strategies and organizational development. Oversee compensation, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and PEO relationships. Support employee health, workplace safety, and workers' compensation processes. Manage HR systems, reporting, budgeting, and department operations. QualificationsRequired 5-7 years of HR experience in healthcare. Minimum 2 years in an HR leadership role. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance. Experience managing HR operations across multiple facilities. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field. SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred.
