HR Benefits Specialist at Ultimate Staffing Services HR Benefits Specialist at Ultimate Staffing Services in Escondido, California Posted in about 7 hours ago. $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Position Overview Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced HR Benefits Specialist to join a dynamic team in California. The HR Benefits Specialist will play a pivotal role in administering and managing all employee benefits. This role requires a strong understanding of benefits and policies, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding the mission and vision of our organization Responsibilities Understand all of the benefits available and clearly explain them to employees, including medical, dental/vision, life, and supplemental plans. Act as a liaison between broker/vendors and employees; coordinate between vendors and payroll/finance. Maintain the benefits administration portal and ensure data accuracy. Create benefits deduction transactions, review the Employee Benefits Guide annually, and assist in reconciling billing discrepancies. Keep employee medical files compliant and organized. Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding employees on leave. Assist departing employees with understanding their benefits, Cobra options, portability and conversion possibilities, and unemployment options. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with active listening, compassion, and empathy while maintaining confidentiality. Exhibit judgment in alignment with the organization's cultural values in all HR aspects, from paperwork to interpersonal skills. Be well-versed with the Employee Handbook to assist employees with questions and identify necessary updates annually. Collaborate with the HR team to review, strengthen, and implement the best employment practices and procedures. Exhibit patience and understanding when assisting employees who share personal information to obtain help. Requirements High School diploma required; further education or certification is a plus. Previous experience in benefits administration or a similar HR role preferred. Strong understanding of benefits and HR policies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using benefits administration portals and related software.
