Analyzes wage and salary data and trends, monitors market conditions; works with benefits vendors, processes benefit claims for employees; monitors government employment regulations. May focus specifically on job classifications and compensation or on benefits programs such as pensions.
Compensation AnalystKey Responsibilities Analyze compensation data across multiple locations, including manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and corporate functions. Provide monthly reporting on Sales Subsidy-to-Commission Gap information to the Leadership Team. Conduct market pricing using industry-specific salary surveys, with a focus on manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics. Develop and maintain compensation structures, including: Hourly pay Salaried pay Incentive-based compensation programs Shift differentials Overtime practices Premium pay programs Support compensation strategies for high-volume hourly workforces. Partner with HR and Operations leaders on: Hiring rates Promotions Internal equity adjustments Regional compensation decisions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including minimum wage requirements, overtime regulations, and pay transparency requirements. Monitor and support pay equity initiatives across multiple states and job categories. Assist with union-related compensation structures and collective bargaining agreements, when applicable. Support annual compensation cycles, including: Merit increases Bonuses Incentive payouts Maintain and audit compensation data within HRIS systems to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare reports and dashboards covering compensation trends, labor costs, and workforce analytics. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 2-3 years of compensation or HR experience, preferably within manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments. Strong understanding of multi-state wage and hour laws and compliance requirements. Experience supporting hourly, salaried, commission, and component-based pay structures. Advanced Excel skills, including: Pivot tables Lookups Data analysis Experience with HRIS systems such as: Dayforce Workday ADP SAP Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Preferred Qualifications Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification or similar credential. Experience working in union environments and with collective bargaining agreements. Experience supporting geographically dispersed operations.
