Job Description

As a Benefits Intern with CONAM, you will supports the Benefits team with document management, dependent verifications, and internal customer service, while gaining exposure to the benefits administration process a key function of Human Resources. This internship provides hands on experience with compliance, case management, and employee communication, offering a strong foundation for individuals interested in pursuing a career in

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a strategic part-time, Benefits Intern! If you possess a customer-focused mindset, and want to be a part of a growing company, we want to hear from you! Program specifics below. This position is 12 week, part-time (No more than 20 hours a week, flexible to accommodate school schedules ) Pay Range for this position is: $19-$20/hour, depending on experience. This position will be onsite at our San Diego Corporate Office. Start Date anticipated to be October 6th. What You Will be
Doing:
Benefits Administration:
Review Benefits Administration platform daily for new life events and pending document requests. Process and file dependent verification documents and other required forms in a timely manner. Update enrollment information in the Benefits Administration system with accuracy and attention to detail. Support the annual Open Enrollment process by assisting with document requests, verifications, and case management. Escalate complex benefit questions or issues to the Benefits Coordinator or Benefits Manager. Internal Customer Support Monitor and respond to messages in the Benefits inbox within required timeframes. Provide timely communication to associates regarding document submissions and enrollment status. Assist with preparation and support during New Hire Orientations and Open Enrollment presentations. Administrative Support Organize and maintain benefits-related files and correspondence. Assist with printing, mailing, and filing of benefits documents as needed. Provide general administrative support to the Benefits team during busy periods such as Open Enrollment. All other Duties as
Assigned Who You Are:
To be successful in this role you must meet the following requirements: Current student or recent graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources, with a desire to learn about benefits administration. Basic proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Good verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information. Willingness to learn HRIS and benefits systems with guidance. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced setting. Current student or recent graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
