In this important role, you will serve as a key liaison between patients, physicians, insurance carriers, attorneys, and employers, helping ensure that injured workers receive timely care and support throughout their treatment journey. Coordinate and verify treatment authorizations with insurance carriers. Request and obtain medical records from insurance companies and physician offices. Distribute supplemental reports to physicians for completion. Process and distribute medical reports to insurance carriers, referring providers, attorneys, and other appropriate parties. Maintain and file incoming worker's compensation correspondence and documentation. Assist physicians with job descriptions, work status reports, and other required forms. Schedule and coordinate interpreters for Spanish-speaking patients as needed. Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, employers, and attorneys regarding appointment scheduling and treatment-related matters. Enter and maintain accurate worker's compensation patient demographic information. Requirements:
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 12-18 months of related healthcare, medical office, worker's compensation, or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional demeanor and customer-focused approach. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment. Proficiency with computer systems and standard office equipment. Preferred Attributes Experience working with worker's compensation cases and insurance carriers. Knowledge of medical terminology and orthopedic practice workflows. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Positive attitude and collaborative team mindset.
