Description and Requirements General Description:
Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with the USI Consulting Group's DC Practice's clients. Provide expert guidance on retirement plan features, benefits, and options. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee the administration of retirement plans.
Responsibilities:
Manage a significant book of clients, including high-profile and complex accounts. Process a wide range of complex plan transactions. Includes rollovers, distributions, loans, and hardship withdrawals. Verify the accuracy of transaction data and documentation to mitigate risk and ensure compliance. Resolve escalated participant inquiries through call center or website. Resolve client inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Manage/complete reports in a timely manner. Includes compliance, financial and regulatory reports. Demonstrate a deep understanding of various retirement plan types and their features. Use retirement plan software and other technology tools effectively. Manage and coordinate complex retirement plan projects. Ensure project deadlines are met, and results are delivered on time and with accuracy. Participate in industry conferences, webinars, and training programs. Stay informed on retirement plan trends, regulations, and best practices. Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
5+ years of employee benefits or defined contribution retirement/recordkeeping experience. Bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred. Experience with Schwab Retirement Technologies (SRT) or other similar recordkeeping systems. Ability to read and interpret all plan documents. Understanding of defined contribution compliance work including testing and 5500s. Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word. Prior experience utilizing a database system preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide excellent client service and build client relationships. Willingness to participate in the training of new team members where appropriate. Why USI?
