The organization operates two interconnected businesses: a regulated networks division serving 3.3 million electric and natural gas customers across the northeastern United States, and a renewables division that ranks as the third-largest renewable energy company in the country. The renewables portfolio spans onshore wind, solar, and offshore wind development, positioning this organization at the center of the U.S. clean energy build-out. The networks business manages eight utility subsidiaries across multiple northeastern states, delivering the infrastructure reliability that communities and industries depend on. Together, these businesses place employees at the intersection of today's energy grid and tomorrow's clean energy system. With more than 7,000 employees, the culture is built on trust, safety, accountability, and shared purpose. Employees describe an environment where collaboration is genuine and where the mission delivering a more accessible, cleaner energy system for healthier communities gives daily work a clear sense of meaning. The organization has been recognized as one of America's Most Just Companies by JUST Capital and CNBC for consecutive years, reflecting its commitment to stakeholders beyond shareholders. Stability is a meaningful attribute here: operating as a regulated utility means that the business model is resilient, workloads are manageable, and careers can develop over the long term in an environment that rewards expertise and institutional knowledge. For energy professionals who want to contribute to the clean energy transition through a company with real infrastructure scale and a clear, values-driven mission, this is a compelling place to build a career. Teams here span power grid engineers, renewable energy project developers, utility operations specialists, and environmental compliance professionals.
