Job Description

SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, assist to deliver global benefits to employees of VSE Aviation and its subsidiaries. Ensures compliance with 401(k) and H&W benefits administration, Affordable Care Act (ACA), and Service Contract Act (SCA). Administers and maintains company benefit programs, billing submissions, and invoice management. Oversee day-to-day benefits related issues.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supports the creation, maintenance, and management of benefits operating procedures. Assist with overall implementation of activities for Annual Enrollment, new benefit coverage, new carriers, etc. Recommends and implements steps/processes, including IT improvements, to make the administration of benefits timely and automatic. Maintains files in accordance with Federal and State laws to ensure compliance. Partners with departments including HRIS, HR, Payroll, and IT for data audits and system enhancements develop new policies and programs in support of corporate strategy. Participate in the completion of required regulatory filings and other compliance activities.
Vendor management:
Communications, data management & issue resolution, outstanding payment resolution. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in business, benefits, human resources, or related field. OR an additional 3-year specific work experience in lieu of degree. 4 years of relevant/technical work experience. Exposure to benefits design, compliance, administration, and/or communications. Demonstrate initiative and emerging leadership qualities with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Excel (e.g., v-lookups, pivot tables, if/then formulas). Organized, demonstrate attention to detail, be able to prioritize, and apply a sense of urgency to tasks. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
CEBS, CBP and/or SPHR certification.
OTHER:
Occasional travel to locations may be required. Estimated travel 10% up to 25%. The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
