Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR, Payroll, and Benefits Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will support multistate employees by delivering quality Human Resources activities including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, deploying HR policies, performing payroll and benefit administration. Position reports to the VP of Human Resources.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Human Resources Administration Update and maintain HR compliance programs; maintain other records, reports, filings, and logs to conform to EEO regulation, federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintenance of the HRIS system. Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and files, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Conduct audits for all active personnel files to ensure compliance. Keep up to date with changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with these changes. Participate in HR-related projects and initiatives, including HR technology implementations, process improvements, and compliance audits. Support deployment of HR policies, programs, and employer branding initiatives. Perform duties as assigned related to the HR lifecycle (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, culture). Create ad-hoc reports on HR metrics, data, and trends to meet management information needs. Oversee the hiring process job postings, screening applicants' resumes, performing candidate background checks. Responsible for training employees on the HRIS system. Serves as the first line of response to routine HR inquiries from employees. Interact and deal sensitively with confidential material and communicate with various levels of management. Ensure the efficient daily operation of the office functions, including maintenance requests. •Perform various other clerical tasks such as filing, preparing outgoing mail, answering the phone and ordering office supplies. Identifies opportunities and recommends solutions for process improvement based on trends, best practices, and employment laws and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Payroll Administration Responsible for the timely and accurate processing, reviewing, and balancing/reconciling bi-weekly and semi-monthly, time, earnings, benefit deductions, taxes, and any other items that affect multistate payroll. Ensures payroll compliance with applicable laws and regulations for salary and hourly employees. Oversee payroll-related end-of-year reporting including w2 requirements. Responsible for training managers and employees on timekeeping system. Responsible for responding to all payroll inquiries from employees. Create ad-hoc reports as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Benefits Administration Liaise and maintain appropriate relationships with benefit vendor representatives, and facility level HR staff. Perform day-to-day compensation and benefits administration including enrolling new hires, processing and reporting changes and terminations, and COBRA and leave management coordination with third party administrator. Administration of benefit plans, wellness initiatives, and Open Enrollment. Provides customer service to phone inquiries from employees including answering benefit questions, resolving problems related to access or payment of benefits, orient newly eligible employees. Provides online medical, prescription & dental data entry with applicable carriers. Audits benefit enrollments & processes employee adjustments as necessary. Provides assistance with adjudication of monthly bills as needed. Create ad-hoc reports as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field required. An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum 5 years of related experience required. Experience in hospital/healthcare setting preferred.
Pay:
$57,649.77 - $69,500.00 per year
