Annual Salary Range:
Salary dependent on experience .
•Role Description Payroll and Benefit administrator will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Manage payroll processes, act as first point of contact regarding benefit coverage, claims and open enrollment. Primary administrator for short-term disability and worker's compensation claims. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a solid understanding of payroll regulations, accounting principles, and benefits administration. Role Responsibilities 75% Process weekly payroll for hourly and fleet employees. Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires and terminations. Verify timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll laws. Handle employee inquires regarding pay, taxes, and deductions. Process garnishments, benefit deductions, and retirement contributions. Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data and reporting. 15% Monthly benefits invoice reconciliation to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies between enrollments and billing. MSHA quarterly reporting. Preparation and distribution of onboarding materials. Primary point of contact for employee inquires regarding company policies and benefits. 10% Assist with coordinating company meetings, training, and celebratory events and other duties. Provide cross-functional support to both the customer service and finance departments. Qualifications Ø
Work Experience:
3+ years of experience in payroll and benefits. Ø
Education:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting, human resources, business administration or equivalent years of experience required. Other Expectations Ø Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data modeling and experience with HRIS platforms. Must be an effective communicator with excellent customer service skills.
