Job Description

The Benefits Fair Representative plays a key role in supporting employee engagement and education during benefits fairs. This position is responsible for providing clear, accurate information about employee benefits offerings, answering questions, and guiding attendees through available resources. The representative ensures that employees leave the event with a better understanding of their options and how to make informed choices during open enrollment. We are seeking a seasoned representative for a Benefits Fair in Springfield, IL on 10/8/2026 from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm CT. The expectation is that the representative can speak on the benefits in depth & clarity. We will review all benefits with the representative prior to the event. This is a contractual position, and we may be able to offer you additional work in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and engage employees attending the benefits fair. Represent the organization's benefits programs. Answer employee questions about benefit details. Distribute informational materials such as brochures, flyers, and enrollment guides. Assist employees in accessing online platforms, if needed. Collect feedback or inquiries for follow-up if unable to resolve on-site. Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing booth or table. Collaborate with HR team members and other vendors to ensure a smooth event experience. Adhere to company policies and maintain confidentiality of employee information. Business casual attire is required.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in HR, customer service, employee benefits, or event support is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to explain complex information simply. Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information appropriately. Basic tech literacy (e.g., using a tablet, benefits portal, etc.). Organizational skills and attention to detail.
