Location:
New Orleans, LA (Onsite | 100%)
Schedule:
Full-time (Standard hours 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM On behalf of a client of ours on the Westbank, PCG is seeking a hands-on, approachable, and proactive Benefits Administrator to join a corporate HR team in New Orleans. Supporting a fast-growing, multi-site workforce of over 600 employees, primarily field-based labor across the United States, this role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, leave management, and workers' compensation claims. This role is ideal for an experienced Benefits Administrator ready to take full ownership of the function, clean up processes, leverage technology, and potentially step into a formal Manager-level role as the organization continues to expand through acquisitions. Key Responsibilities Benefits & Open Enrollment Administration Administer all health and welfare programs, including self-insured medical plans, dental, vision, life, and a 4% company-matched 401(k) plan. Drive annual Open Enrollment for office locations (online) and field staff. Travel locally (up to 2 hours) to terminal and agency locations during Open Enrollment to assist with enrollment. Track, manage, and collect employee-portion premium payments for team members on extended leave. Leave Management & Workers' Compensation End-to-end management of FMLA, disability claims, paid/unpaid leave, and state-mandated leave programs. Process and manage Workers' Compensation claims in close partnership with the Safety and Compliance department to ensure timely reporting and accurate documentation. Serve as the primary administrative point of contact as incidents occur. Process Optimization & System Management Utilize HRIS system to streamline workflows, audit data, and automate manual benefits processes. Audit and reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to ensure accuracy. Identify areas for process improvement to enhance operational efficiency across the HR department. Employee Engagement & Culture Serve as an accessible, patient, and welcoming primary contact for all employee benefits questions, walk-ins (including local operations staff), and claim inquiries. Collaborate closely with a 4-person corporate HR team (Director, Manager, Benefits, Payroll, Coordinator) in a supportive, interactive team environment.
Required Qualifications & Experience Experience:
3-5+ years of direct experience administering employee benefits programs, FMLA/leave claims, and Workers' Compensation.
Workforce Background:
Proven track record supporting an industrial or field-based workforce.
Environment:
Experience in a non-union operational environment
Travel:
Ability to conduct occasional local day travel (under 2 hours) to regional terminals during open enrollment periods.
Work Style:
High degree of ownership, adaptability, approachability, and stable job history.
Preferred Qualifications HRIS:
Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.
Plan Design:
Experience working with self-insured medical plans.
