• Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our staff, visitors, and property. Your expertise in surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention will be essential in ensuring the overall safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to security protocols and possess the skills necessary to respond effectively to various situations. Responsibilities Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems to ensure safety and security. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, applying first aid and CPR as needed. Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. Conduct thorough investigations of incidents, documenting findings accurately for reporting purposes. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for review by management. Provide assistance during events or activities held on-site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Participate in ongoing training programs related to security practices and emergency response. Requirements Proven experience in a security role or related field; military or law enforcement background is preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional emergency response training is a plus. Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in identifying potential security threats. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and collaboration.
