Job Description

Job Posting Payroll Benefits Specialist Job Goal:
To ensure that district personnel receive the correct compensation and benefits in a timely manner. To complete the detailed and written work, and to coordinate other matters essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the district's payroll and benefits administration. To contribute to staff morale by the prompt and accurate handling of compensation matters.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree or Associate degree preferred) Minimum of 5 years successful experience in a professional office setting. Minimum of 2 years in the administration of payroll and benefits. Solid understanding of payroll fundamentals and payroll best practices. Solid understanding of benefits administration. Technical Capacity (Excel, Microsoft, Pro-Fund, ADS, electronic forms) Excellent Communication and Collaboration skills
Certification:
Must possess or be able to obtain Current Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check authorization.

Salary Range:
$25.31-$31.16/hr based on experience.
