Foley & Lardner LLP is currently seeking a Benefits & Compensation Specialist to join our team! The Specialist will be responsible for the day to day tactical activities related to administering and maintaining the firm's health/welfare benefit and staff compensation programs. Benefit responsibitilies include HRIS maintenance and eligibility files to vendors, providing responsive internal client service through appeal support and enrollment assistance, and ensuring compliance with benefit plan regulatory requirements including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, etc. Staff Compensation tasks include performing ongoing administrative oversight for out-of-cycle pay adjustment requests, administer the annual compensation merit process and related HRIS salary plan updates, coordinate participation in salary surveys to assure market competitiveness, and facilitate the Key Contribution Award review and benefit determination process. Responsibilities Benefit HRIS system maintenance, including life events and annual enrollment process oversight Ensure compliance with benefit plan reporting and regulatory requirements Provide internal benefit client service including enrollment, changes, answering questions, education, resolution Serve as primary benefits vendor contact for plan and employee issues Review benefit deduction files for accuracy prior to transmitting payroll Communicate with HRIS vendor on any discrepancies in or problems with the system Create reports as needed Acts as liaison between health plan administrator and employees regarding claim processing and customer service issues Present benefit programs and enrollment education to new hires and staff during annual open enrollment Support administration of retirement programs, including defined contribution (DC) plan Administer daytoday compensation activities, including outofcycle pay adjustments, salary plan maintenance, and HRIS updates Coordinate and support the annual merit review process, including system setup, validation, and postcycle Participate in external salary surveys and assist with market data analysis to support competitive pay practices Provide input and recommendations on market adjustment, promotion, and compensation review requests in accordance with firm guidelines Support administration of firmwide recognition and award programs, including the Key Contribution Award process Creates/maintains salary plans Backup FMLA administration Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Minimum of three (3) years of related experience with day-to-day administration of all health and welfare benefits required Exposure compensation program administration required Previous HRIS experience strongly preferred#LI-Hybrid In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The figures below represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be between the range minimum and midpoint based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
