Job description Specialty Orthopedic Group is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Workers' Compensation Associate to join our clinic. This position will be Monday-Friday, full time. •Please do not call in to Specialty Orthopedic Group regarding this position.•
JOB SUMMARY
The Workers' Compensation Associate supports coordination of workers' compensation cases and patient services. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, case managers, adjusters, insurance carriers, and clinical staff to ensure efficient communication, scheduling, and documentation throughout the workers' compensation process.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate care and provide exceptional service to workers' compensation patients, case managers, and insurance adjusters Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations for office visits and specialty referrals Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments and referrals Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Communicate regularly with insurance carriers and workers' compensation adjusters regarding claim status and authorizations Ensure all workers' compensation forms are completed and distributed appropriately Track case updates, disputes, and status changes while maintaining organized patient records Submit weekly case status updates and documentation to nursing staff Respond promptly and professionally to incoming calls, voicemails, and information requests Assist with process improvement initiatives and support new projects as needed Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and financial information Deliver a professional, courteous, and patient-centered experience in all interactions
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years of workers' compensation experience required Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and customer service skills Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and teamwork NfghxhGUoH
