Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist — Workers' Compensation This is an in-person position. We're looking for a Queens resident who has personally handled medication prior authorizations and can take ownership of each request from submission through final determination. This role requires careful reading, accurate documentation, persistent follow-up, and the judgment to know what information is missing. What you'll do Verify coverage and authorization requirements, then submit medication requests. Review clinical records and obtain supporting documentation from prescribers. Track requests, respond to questions, and handle second-level reviews. Follow up on L1, L2 and L3 denials, coordinate appeals, and keep pharmacy staff updated. Maintain accurate records so every request has a clear status and next step. What you need Direct, hands-on experience with pharmacy medication prior authorizations. Ability to read clinical reports and identify the details needed to support a request. Strong organization, communication, and follow-through. Confidence handling authorization issues independently. Experience with Workers' Compensation medication authorizations, especially New York Workers' Compensation , Is A MUST.
