Description We are looking for a Benefits Administrator to support benefits configuration and enrollment readiness for a Contract position based in New York, New York. In this role, you will manage benefit plan setup in Paylocity, confirm deduction accuracy, and help ensure employee elections are reflected correctly in payroll. This opportunity is ideal for someone who brings strong benefits administration experience, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities:

• Configure benefit plans, contribution structures, and payroll deduction rules in Paylocity using approved plan information from internal teams and vendors.
• Assign correct pre-tax or post-tax treatment, effective dates, and related setup details to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Perform end-to-end testing of enrollment selections, plan rates, and deduction calculations before open enrollment launches.
• Investigate setup inconsistencies and correct configuration issues to reduce errors prior to employee enrollment.
• Partner with payroll, benefits staff, Paylocity support, and benefit providers to clarify requirements and resolve system questions.
• Review employee benefit elections and status changes to confirm payroll deductions are applied accurately and update records when adjustments are needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate benefits data while handling sensitive employee information with discretion and care. Requirements
• Hands-on experience administering benefit plans in Paylocity, including setup of rates, eligibility rules, and payroll deductions.
• Strong understanding of open enrollment preparation and benefits configuration validation.
• Ability to test system setup thoroughly, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Working knowledge of payroll processes related to benefit deductions and election changes.
• Proven ability to manage assigned work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and sound judgment when working with confidential employee information.
• Background in benefits administration and payroll coordination in a fast-paced environment.
