Position:
Customs Specialist - Ogdensburg, NY About us: Strader-Ferris International provides customs brokerage, 3rd party logistics, and eCommerce fulfillment solutions. Established in 1953, this organization is a third-generation family-owned business that continues to succeed and grow thanks to our team; specifically, their ability to go above and beyond to provide personal, hands-on, accountable, efficient, and effective service.
The Role:
We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys multi-tasking, thrives in a team environment, and is open to learning new skills associated with cross-border logistics. Based in our Ogdensburg, NY office, this role requires someone who enjoys a fast pace, demonstrates great attention to detail, and can manage deadlines with accuracy. Reporting to the Customs Manager, key responsibilities include preparation and submission of import paperwork, liaising with customers to support their supply chain requirements, as well as general tasks in support of our eCommerce fulfillment, trucking, and 3rd party logistics operations. The Ideal Candidate will possess the following: knowledge of Customs, import/export, or logistics processes Strong communication and interpersonal skills Eagerness to provide exceptional customer service Accurate data entry skills Detail oriented Ability to multi-task Willing to support the operation wherever needed Enjoys interacting with clients to develop and maintain positive relationships Team player that feels successful when the team succeeds Capable of managing deadline driven tasks
Education:
