Provides mentorship and coaching to Benefits Specialists focused on health and welfare benefits and ensures the accurate, efficient, and standardized processing of all daily transactions. Performs key benefit analysis and drives continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Essential Functions:
  • + Provides daily support to the Benefits Specialists focused on health and welfare benefits.
This includes managing workflow, setting priorities, troubleshooting escalated issues, and addressing operational related issues. + Acts as project lead for department initiatives such as Open Enrollment, ACA compliance and audits, and HCM system optimization. + Provides guidance in day-to-day benefit administration including regular feedback to Benefits Specialists, decision-making support in the processing of system benefit updates and communication of data flow and error correction. + Collaborates with related Human Resources functional areas including: HR Technology for HCM system support, issue resolution, and testing; HR Operations for data integrity as it relates to benefit administration; HR Core as it relates to system design and impact on cross functional data management; HR Service Center for customer service support related to updates and improvement opportunities to ensure continuous process improvement and collaboration. + Assesses benefit administration processes, recommending and facilitating the implementation of new process improvements focusing on standardizing and streamlining. + Manages and executes regular audits and reviews of metrics to identify irregularities and accuracy issues as it relates to system data integrity, benefit administration, and staff member performance standards. + Maintains and updates comprehensive knowledge documentation for the Benefits team and the HR Service Center, ensuring all procedures are understandable and easily accessible. + Responsible for executing complex reporting tasks, including generating regularly scheduled or special reports, analysis, and statements for management to support data-driven decision-making. + Assists in developing and executing comprehensive education and communication plans for team members regarding their benefits options and changes.

  • + Bachelors Degree Required
  • Work Experience:
  • + 5 years Benefits, insurance processing or general personnel administration experience Required
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • + Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
+ Ability to successfully develop staff. + Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision with all levels of staff and management to develop solutions for human resources issues. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Strong analytical skills. + Critical thinking skills. + Highly motivated, creative and solution-oriented. + Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong time management skills a must. + Proficient computer skills with ability to learn new computer applications.
