Job Description
What You'll Do:
Obtain pre-certifications for scheduled outpatient procedures to support timely patient care and accurate reimbursement.- Communicate professionally and courteously with physicians and healthcare partners regarding authorization requirements.
- Review and process authorization-related information accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize strong communication, multitasking, and basic math skills to manage daily responsibilities.
- Support revenue cycle operations while helping ensure a positive patient experience.
Education & Experience:
Completion of High School or GED is required.- Two to four years of experience in a physician's office, hospital registration, collection agency, hospital or professional billing, or training at an educational institution that includes medical billing is required.
- Epic and insurance knowledge is a plus but is not required.
