Are you ready to move beyond day-to-day account management and take a more strategic role with your clients? We're looking for an experienced Benefits Consultant with California market experience who can serve as a trusted advisor, lead benefits strategy, and help employers make informed decisions around their employee benefits programs. This opportunity is open to candidates located in the PST or MST time zones and requires prior California employee benefits market experience. The Job Serve as a strategic partner to clients, leading benefits planning, renewals, benchmarking, financial analysis, and plan design. Develop renewal and benefits strategies that address each client's unique goals, challenges, and workforce needs. Partner closely with account management and client service teams throughout the renewal cycle, including pre-renewal planning, RFPs, open enrollment, and post-renewal analysis. Advise clients on funding alternatives, carrier options, networks, benefit programs, and evolving market trends. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendor partners. Lead strategic client conversations and confidently present recommendations to HR leaders and C-suite executives. Oversee new client onboarding and implementation strategy in partnership with internal service teams. Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through additional solutions and services. Stay current on industry trends, compliance requirements, and regulations impacting employer-sponsored health and welfare plans. What We're Looking For 3+ years of employee benefits consulting experience. California employee benefits market experience required. Must reside within the PST or MST time zones. Active Life & Health insurance license required. Strong knowledge of health, ancillary, and employer-sponsored benefits programs. Experience developing renewal strategies, analyzing plan performance, and navigating the quoting and marketing process. Ability to confidently lead strategic conversations and influence senior-level decision-makers. Strong communication, organization, and relationship-management skills. Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Why You'll Want to
