You will have the use of a company laptop to use for the duration of the assignment (open ended assignment; several months) Benefits Specialist (Temp long-term) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Benefits Specialist (TEMP long-term) to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will support the administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and company policies. Your responsibilities will include assisting with benefits enrollment, and providing exceptional service to employees regarding their benefits inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of benefits administration systems such as Workday, and excellent communication abilities to facilitate smooth operations and foster positive employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs Support benefits enrollment processes using the Workday HR system Maintain accurate benefits records within HRIS and other HR systems Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding benefits options, eligibility, and claims Support Short-Term and Long-Term Leave of Absence (LOA) processes, assisting employees with eligibility, required documentation, leave inquiries, and coordination with internal teams and third-party administrators. Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure correct deductions and contributions are processed through payroll systems Assist with onboarding and employee orientation sessions focusing on benefits offerings Handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining data security standards Qualifications Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data collection and record keeping Bachelor's degree in human resources or business related-- preferred. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Extensive knowledge of employee benefits administration and related regulations, including
ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, HRIS
systems, ADA, WC, LOA, and HIPAA compliance Strong time management, planning, organization skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organization Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines Ability to influence and educate stakeholders in a positive and professional manner 5+ years' experience in HR Benefits administration. Experience with direct HR benefits duties required Prior HRIS experience with ADP Vantage and Workday Experience with FMLA/ADA, Workers' Compensation and COBRA administration.
