The New York State Nurses Association Pension Plan & Benefits Fund, which administers high-level health benefits and retirement services to nurses and other medical professionals throughout New York, is seeking a full-time Pension Analyst to provide exceptional customer service to its Pension Plan participants in-person and over the phone. This is a remote/work-from-home position, however, training may be required in our Plan & Fund office in Albany, NY.

• Occasional travel to New York City is required for this position.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Pension Analyst will field calls from participants, hospitals, and other callers regarding the Plan's pension benefits, provide pension estimates and vesting details, and assist with the Plan's retirement process. The Analyst will be required to travel as needed to New York City to meet face-to-face with the Plan's participants in their workplace and lead virtual Zoom meetings as needed. Analysts also process new retiree files for payment, handle changes to current retirees, and process multiple department reports. In addition, our pension analysts perform pension calculations verbally and in writing for participants and provide step-by-step guidance via mail, phone, and /or email throughout the entire retirement process.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education and Experience

• Minimum Associates Degree in Business preferred
• 3-5 years of customer service experience in a call center environment
• Prior experience/understanding of defined benefit pension plans preferred Required Skills
• Must be willing to travel occasionally
• Must be comfortable leading meetings and presenting to groups virtually and in-person
• Excellent math skills
• Solid knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Zoom.
