Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs. Provides excellent customer service and designs quality benefits plans. Investigates new benefits programs, improves existing programs, and supervises and monitors benefits administration. Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference Serves as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators. Evaluates and revises internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes. Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees. Maintains group benefit database and update payroll as necessary. Audits the accuracy and performance of functions performed by Total Rewards team, reporting any deficiencies or opportunities for improvement to the Manager, Benefits. Performs plan audits. Prepare, collect and organize data for actuarial assessments Submits annual filings, on time, to ensure regulatory compliance. Provides customer service support to internal and external customers. Develops communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefit package. Develops knowledge articles to assist the Shared Services center operate efficiently. Provides ongoing training to Workforce Advisors and Consultants. Distributes legally required documents to team members Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements Education - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field of study. Master's degree preferred. Experience - Four (4) years of experience in administering employee benefit programs. Experience in large organizations preferred. In Lieu Of In lieu of education, individuals with prior benefits experience and benefits leadership experience may be considered, but obtainment of a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. SPHR, CEBS, GBA
